If you enjoy yoga and meditation, then there’s no doubt you’ve heard of the chakra system. While at first it can seem a bit esoteric, understanding how the chakras work reveals that this ancient system gives us very concrete ways to check in with our overall health and well-being.

There are seven primarily recognized chakras, which essentially are energy centers in the body that run along the main channel of the spine.

Each chakra governs physical, emotional, spiritual, even relational aspects of being human. They basically offer us a field guide of holistic wellness.
