‘Tis the season for chocolate!

You don’t have to skimp on the chocolate to be healthy for the holidays. This Christmas season, I’m sharing a series of nourishing chocolate recipes with a sprinkle of delish. Be merry & bright. Eat chocolate.

Chocolate Almond Joy Smoothie

1 cup almond milk
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 tbs raw cacao powder
1 tsp maca
1 tbs coconut oil
1/2 frozen banana
5 drops stevia
2 tsp collagen powder
2 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp psyllium husk (optional, but its a great fiber boost!)

Blend well and enjoy. This smoothie is easy to digest and energizing. Add a whole banana if you like it sweeter, or omit it altogether for a sugar free version.

P.S. Before freezing your bananas, slice them up so they blend easily.
